What is gallier hall?

Gallier Hall is a historic building located in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. It was built in 1853 as the City Hall of New Orleans and was designed by James Gallier Sr., a prominent architect of his time.

The building is known for its Greek Revival architecture with a frieze of relief sculptures depicting scenes from the city's history. It was also the site of many significant events, including the inauguration of Louisiana's governors and the signing of the Louisiana Purchase agreement.

After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the building underwent extensive renovation and restoration work, which was completed in 2011. Today, Gallier Hall serves as an event venue for weddings, conferences, and other events. It also houses the offices of the city's mayor.
